Nano Technology

The NANO Cell Technology is an elongated cell, the cell structure is significantly longer than any other type of cell geometry available in the market.

Key factors of the NANO Cell Technology are that we are still using a closed cell structure and therefore can control the volume very accurately and consistently with repeatable results and we can maintain maximum release due to the unique structure of the cell.

The product was developed to offer a number of additional key benefits:

The NANO can be utilised in all areas of print - coating, varnish, spot whites, spot colours, Vignette specs, process printing, priming and Offset coating. This range means we are able to help printers in some cases reduce the inventory of anilox rolls and therefore in many cases offer the printer fewer specifications.

Maximum cell volume release -the NANO cell geometry allows the cell to release the maximum volume as we are able to keep the balance of the relationship between the cell depth and opening this then allows the option to go higher on the screen count and still maintain the required level of lay down of ink.

The structure of the cell will ensure maximum movement and evacuation.

Higher screen counts - improved graphics

We generally want to run higher screen counts as this will improve the print quality and lay down.

Ink movement and cell structure - the cell geometry allows for greater movement of the ink and this offers a number of benefits:

Improved evacuation

The Anilox Roller or sleeve is one of the most important parts of the Flexographic print or coating process. It is vital for the Printer to get the ink/coating volume transfer at its optimum.

The Nano Anilox Technology will in most cases give an extended print run time and help to manage cell evacuation at increased speeds. The increase and consistent maximum cell evacuation will help reduce the stops for cleaning.  The unique cell structure also allows better resistance to doctor blade scoring as the extended elongation helps to reduce particles becoming trapped between the doctor/sealing blades as they have more space to move freely.

The available space for movement helps greatly also when running with a heavy particle - for example Titanium Dioxide in a white application or a metallic particle in a silver or gold ink as the particles can move easier within the cell.

Nano Anilox technology incorporates a cell geometry that allows maximum cell volume release while keeping the cell opening to depth ratio at a minimum.
This means that a high line count can be achieved and still deliver a high volume transfer. This unique and exclusive system has been developed with the printer in mind by Anilox Laser Technology Ltd.

Nano Technology applications

The Nano cell technology can be utilised to help in many of the more technical applications we see within the industry. Examples of these would be:

White applications where a good opacity is required and combination of solid and text required.
For tone, vignette, and fine line text/solid and fine reverse text - Hybrid applications.

Tactile, metallic, and varnish applications where we are moving large pigment, beads, flecks or particles.
